“NO REASON” ABSENT VOTER BALLOT INFORMATION

IMPORTANT  “NO REASON”  ABSENT VOTER BALLOT INFORMATION FOR UPCOMING MICHIGAN PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY.
(IN OTHER WORDS – YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE A REASON TO VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT!)Below are the critical dates for the March 10th Presidential Primary; also, here is the link to an Absent Voter Ballot Application for this Presidential Primary. Persons already on their Township’s Permanent Absent Voter Ballot Application list should receive an application form from their Township clerk within the next couple of weeks. The linked form would be used by anyone who is not on the Permanent Absent Voter Ballot Application list for their township. This form, when completed should be submitted to your city or township clerk. (For assistance in obtaining the address of your city or township clerk, see  Michigan.gov/Vote You must request an Absent Voter Ballot by mailing the Absent Voter Ballot Application to your local clerk’s office.  Requests to have an Absent Voter Ballot mailed to you must be received by your clerk no later than  4 p.m. the Friday before the election.

Note the form has check boxes for the Presidential Primary Election and the November General Election but not the August Primary Election. Another form will be mailed to voters on the Permanent Absent Voter Ballot Application list before the August Primary for that election and the subsequent General Election. Note also that the form has the checkbox for the voter to get onto the Township’s Permanent Absent Voter Ballot Application list.

By January 25, 2020 County clerks deliver absent voter ballots for the Presidential Primary to local clerks. (714)

February 24, 2020 Last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk for the Presidential Primary election. (497)

February 25 through 8:00 p.m. March 10, 2020 In-person registration with proof of residency with the local clerk. (497)

By February 29, 2020 County clerks deliver remainder of ballots and election supplies for presidential primary to local clerks. (714)
