Absent Voter Ballots | Popups

Absent Voter Ballots | Popups

It’s time to turn in your Absent Voter Ballots!
Time is short – drop off your AV Ballot at your local Township Office.

Casting your absentee ballot ( From the MI SOS Office)
  • After receiving your absentee ballot, complete the ballot and return it to the clerk’s office as soon as possible. Your ballot will not be counted unless your signature is on the outside of the return envelope and matches your signature on file. All absentee ballots received by 8 p.m. on Election Day with a matching signature will be counted.
  • Ideally, voters should mail their ballot at least TWO WEEKS prior to the election, to give the U.S. Postal Service enough time to deliver it. Within two weeks of Election Day, if possible, voters should deliver their ballot to a clerk’s office or ballot drop box if one is available. Voters should contact their clerk to verify the hours they can drop off their ballot in the office. Your clerk’s address and contact information can be found at http://Michigan.gov/Vote .
  • Many clerks offer secure ballot drop boxes where voters can return their completed absent voter ballots. This is a good option anytime but especially when there is not enough time to mail the ballot back. Enter your voter information at http://Michigan.gov/Vote  to get the location of a drop box for your jurisdiction or contact your local clerk.

Drop off your Absent Voter Ballots at your Township office – they have drop boxes just outside or hand them to your Township Clerk!

Primary Day: August 2nd!

Roe, Roe, Roe Your Vote!

Our famous Pop-Up Campaign Events will start around the County starting September 2nd!
If you remember from 2020, we held Pop-Up Campaign events every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, on a rotating basis in Northport, Leland, Glen Arbor, Empire, Suttons Bay, Grelickville, Lake Leelanau, Maple City, and Cedar.  We passed out Campaign signs, literature, bumper stickers, pins, had candidate meet and greets, met a lot of our neighbors and has a great time!
This takes a Herlicuan Effort by volunteers so we need your help!  It’s FUN and boy does it make a difference in the outcome of elections!  Leelanau County went BLUE for Biden in 2020- the only county to vote BLUE in Northwest Lower Michigan.
Stay tuned for more information but in the meantime, we are looking for someone who can donate the use of a small trailer or van for us to use every weekend from September 2nd thru October 30th.  We also need people to sign up to work the Pop-Ups in their areas.  I know, I know- sounds like a big commitment but – isn’t saving Democracy worth it?  Isn’t having a Dem majority on our County Commission worth it? And did I mention – It’s FUN!  Let’s do this!!!
To volunteer contact Brigid Hart at [email protected] and let me know in which city you would like to volunteer.
See the Pop-Up Schedule below…

Don’t Forget!!!!   Mark Your Ballot for the only
REAL DEMOCRAT running for Michigan’s 37th Senate District

Barb Conley!  Barb’s 2 Democratic primary contenders are really ultra-conservative Republicans pretending to be Democrats in order to try and fool you – but we are no fools!
