Leelanau County residents are being asked to volunteer to serve on various boards and commissions appointed by the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners.  If you want to bring about change on the local level, joining one of these boards or commissions is the most effective way to do so.  Participating in these Boards and Commissions is also a good way to gain experience for running for greater office and to build your resume! Some of the positions come with per diem and mileage payments. For more information, contact the office of the Leelanau County Administrator at 256-9711 or visit the list below of current openings and then select the area where you would like to serve.  Republicans are filling these boards and we want to make sure our values are represented.
Thank You and give us a call if you have any questions: [email protected]Comment to the Michigan Independent Citizen’s Redistricting Commission here:

Please consider attending our Leelanau County Board of Commissioners meetings either in person or virtually.  Our Democratic Commissioners need your support!  You can submit email comments prior to the meeting to: [email protected] or attend the meetings in person at the County Building.  Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month, except where noted at the County website here:
We need to make sure our Democratic voices are heard!
