Leelanau County is one of two counties that flipped to blue in the Presidential election (the other one is Saginaw!)
We are so grateful for all the hours, volunteers and creative suggestions this year!
The total turnout was close to 80% and about 2/3 of that was absentee voting.
We fielded candidates in all 7 County Commission races and in several other local races, where previously the Republican Candidate ran unopposed!
Although US House Candidate Dana Ferguson lost county wide, he got 46.86% of the vote, and he WON in Glen Arbor, Leelanau and Suttons Bay Townships
Although State House Candidate Beth McGill-Rizer lost county wide, she got 46.35% of the vote, and she won in Glen Arbor and Leelanau Townships and missed winning in Suttons Bay Township by 8 votes!
