Primary Election
August 2nd
We are looking to get a large contingent of Democrats to march in the Leland and Glen Arbor 4th of July Parades! You are invited to join us for one or both of the parades. We all have family visiting so don’t let that stop you from participating – bring them along for a 4th of July slice of Americana!
Both parades take place on Monday the 4th:
Glen Arbor’s parade starts at 12:00 p.m. with the lineup in Glen Haven starting at 10:30 a.m. It is just a general line-up organized by volunteers so we will have no official number assignment. Just look for all the Dems! Come show your support for Dems and our County Commissioner Gwenne Allgaier from District 6 and all our County Commissioner Candidates!
Leland’s parade will start at 3:00 p.m. and we will have an official participation number (TBD). Pre-parade lineup takes place off of Main Street, along Reynolds Street. Come show your support for Dems and our County Commissioners candidates- Kama Ross (District 5 ) and Lois Bahle (District 3) and all our County Commissioner Candidates! This year’s theme of the Leland parade is “Bringing it Back to the Red, White, and Leland Blue.”
We will have some signs available but get creative and make your own. Positive messages are encouraged!
We have a chance to elect a great Democrat, Dr. Barb Conley, to represent us (Yeah!), the 37th District, in the Michigan Senate! But it won’t happen without all of us working to elect Barb. If you would like to help by volunteering to knock on doors, do phone banks, or help address postcards for the general election,
please email danielle@barbaraconley.com If you would like to learn more about Barb’s campaign or to donate to: https://barbaraconley.com
Mark your calendar to VOTE for Barb Conley in the Primary on August 2nd. Barb’s Democratic opponent in the Primary is Trucker Randy, a Conservative Republican, deceptively running as a Democrat, a real dirty trick. We need to get out the VOTE for Barb and make sure she moves on to the General Election! Absent Voter Ballots will be available starting on June 23rd!
